Since April 24, the wonderful Salento area has become home to one of the new “capitals” of infrastructure renewal: the Municipality of Gagliano del Capo, with about 5,000 residents in the Province of Lecce.
The reason? Having given new life – and new light – to a symbolic bridge overlooking the sea, within a natural canyon. All through light, of course.
A revolutionary road lighting system – and therefore a form of permanent active safety – that since 2020 has received unanimous acclaim throughout Italy, including San Marino, and now draws attention in Spain. Distributed there by Natrus Lighting, it was presented at the national Lighting Symposium organized by CEI, the Spanish Committee overseeing all aspects of lighting, held these days in Huesca, Aragon.
We are talking about GuardLED, the “technological archipelago” developed by our main partner Roadlink, available in the following types:
• Covers for double and triple wave guardrails
• G-Light system adaptable to any barrier
• G-Light evolution GLE made from fully recyclable materials (coming soon).
On May 10, GuardLED was presented in Huesca by Roadlink specialists...
G-Light illuminates two lanes of the San Marino highway.
The news was announced in Monza by the Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic.
Among the many stories collected at Visione Sicurezza 2022 – the Vision event held in Monza – came the report of the installation of G-Light, the innovative grazing-light technology developed by Roadlink that evenly lights the road without disturbing vegetation along the route within the Republic of San Marino.
The G-Light device (Guardled® technology – https://www.guardled.it/) belongs to this category, thanks to its intelligent features that illuminate parking areas efficiently without compromising the barrier’s performance, in full compliance with UNI Standards.
The choice of this device was driven by the presence of the nearby railway, which prevented the installation of traditional lighting poles both for safety and glare reasons.
The continuous LED strip provides not only a reduction in light pollution but also a clearer definition of the rest area’s profile, enhancing vehicle visibility even in fog or rain.
The polyurethane structure ensures excellent resistance to atmospheric agents and UV rays, while offering elasticity and softness to absorb impacts.
